Trash & Recycling
Each unit will have a trash (green) and recycling bin (blue). Please use your designated containers. During the week, bins may be staged at the end of Holly Street, against the guardrail.
Trash & Recycling are picked up early Monday morning. The night before, place your bins side-by-side on the curb starting at the Holly St/Holly Downs street sign. Do NOT place your bins on the Holly Downs Court driveway.
After your bins are emptied, return them to the staging area immediately.

In-Unit Procedures
-
Thermostat
Your thermostat is pre-programmed to conserve energy and maintain comfort. You may override the schedule below as you wish; however be aware there is a stronger likelihood of exceeding your electricity threshold.
Schedule
Wake 7am - Heat to 65 / Cool to 78
Away 10am - Heat to 63 / Cool to 80
Home 5pm - Heat to 67 / Cool to 78
Sleep 9pm - Heat to 65 / Cool to 77
Pro-Tip
During the Summer months, avoid using power during peak times (10am-5pm) to reduce your energy rate. Wash/dry your clothes and run the dishwasher in the morning or evening!
-
Water
Your unit has a water shut-off in the laundry closet. Turn the handle perpendicular to shut off the water. Do NOT touch or modify the water pressure regulator.
Be aware of leaks! A small drip could turn into a flood. Inform management immediately if there is a water issue. -
Walls
It’s your home and we encourage you to make it your own. Please use 3M Command Strips and Hooks to mount pictures and other items. Do NOT hammer nails and screws into the walls.
-
Refridgerator
Your fridge is preset to the recommended settings. Overriding these settings may result in heightened energy use or spoiled food.
You have an ice maker!Pro Tip: This is a new appliance so we recommend going through 2 ice cycles to eliminate the rubber taste.
-
Clothes Dryer
Empty the lint filter after EVERY load. Failure to do so will result in higher energy use, damp clothes, and potential fire hazards.
Pro Tip: Keep a plastic grocery bag in the closet as the designated lint collection.
-
Wi-Fi
If you opted for the Wi-Fi bundle, your unit is preconfigured for Internet access on the building’s Gigabit tier. You may see a gateway device in your cabinet or closet. Refrain from touching or adjusting this as you might disable the Wi-Fi for your entire unit.
Outside Procedures
Bike Racks
Bike racks are free to use on a first-come first-serve basis. If all racks are occupied and you do not have a place to lock your bike, please inform management.
Common Areas & Maintenance
Common areas include the greenspaces and walkways. If you have a gathering, please inform your neighbors in the building, and be respectful during study hours.
Yard and lawn maintenance is done bi-weekly during growth seasons and usually on Friday mornings. Please refrain from leaving items in the common areas that may obstruct crews from accessing their service areas.
Roommate Agreement
